Jasmine Gu is a fashion designer from Parsons based in NYC. She combines research and methodology with aesthetics and philosophy influenced by her dual cultural roots from the West and the East. Sophisticated, minimal, and sensitive best describe Jasmine’s design aesthetics. Sensitive yet not melancholy, the design instead embeds tremendous power, passion, and love. She captures subtle feelings and abstract concepts which she expresses through wearable and digital fashion. Her concepts are usually rooted in her experiences, literature, film, travel, yet all purified through a poetic and artistic lens. She wishes to empower her muses through soft and comfortable garments, making them appear and feel intellectual, elegant, and steadfast.
