Bio

As a fashion designer who cares about social issues, Juine Wang views her work as a critical commentary challenging social perceptions against sexuality, gender norms, hidden violence and conflicts that exist between human and environment. She completed her BFA in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design, The New School. As a recipient for the Deans's scholarship, Juine is passionate about draping and making sculptural forms. She developed her years of study learning about silhouette, texture and especially the experience that garments bring for wearer when the two aspects of design are combined. She has been accepted into the MFA Fashion Design and Society program at Parsons, where she will continue to develop her research.
