Bio
Vivian Li is an emerging designer based in New York City who believes fashion and designers should be more conscious of the world they are creating in. Her work upcycles deadstock and discarded fabric through eco-conscious dye processes, embroidery, and beadwork. She embraces a multiplicity of perspectives, proposing an alternative way of interacting with garments via a hybrid of artistic and body focused approaches.
Through a multi-disciplinary approach, Vivian emphasizes the intensive role of the maker and handiwork. When designing, she redefines and highlights our connections with garments and their impact, allowing fashion to be a conversation starter for complex social issues.
