Bio

Believing to create is to live twice, Gloria (Xinyi) Yuan is an artist, graduating in May 2022, from the BFA fashion design program, product pathway at Parsons School of Design, USA.

Born in Nanjing, China, 2000, Gloria Yuan is interested in designing and crafting sculpture-like structures using various media, such as natural fabrics, metal and clay. Besides materiality, she is also passionate about 3D modeling and laser cutting. Yuan aims to mix technology with crafting skills such as sewing and silversmithing. She enjoys learning and growing along with her works through crafting. Yuan’s artworks not only have a strong, eye-catching visual, but also are storytelling  and combined with her own memory and experiences.
